In this paper, an analytical method have been proposed to find the median and other fractiles of the response spectrum of the records generated using Priestley’s evolutionary model. The response spectrum are obtained using Poisson’s and Vanmarcke’s methods as well as an equivalent SDOF method and they are compared with each other. To do so, some simplifying assumptions have been made to estimate the evolutionary response’s power spectrum. The accuracy of the methods to estimate the response analytically have been investigated and the sensitivity of the estimation to the model parameters including the correlation and the bandwidth of the process.
