Abstract :
The aim of this research was the comparison between Farabi and Edgar Morin viewpoints in science and its indications on sciences education, in order to achieve a deep and better understanding in science and its education. The research covers four basic questions: What is Farabi’s viewpoint on science? What is Morin’s viewpoint on science? What are the similarities and differences between their opinions about science? This research was done by comparative method, inference method, conceptual analysis and index cards in libraries and written sources. According to research findings Farabi emphasized the matching of the mind whit the object in recognizing the concept of science. He also sees science as a value and beauty counterpart. Farabi believes the principle of scientific finality, relationship between sciences and unity of science with its multiplicity. Morin deals with the critique of the statue of science in the contemporary world to define its concept. He is opposed to science finality or specialized education at same; and in conversation between the science contradictions he trusts. Also, Morin pays attention to: background of science, complexity of it, and make students globalcitizensships. In response to the similarities, their opinion is common on: unity of philosophy and science, unity of science with its multiplicity, trans or multi-disciplinary education, authority of students and prepare them to make utopia. And in response to the differences, disagreed with each other in ontology (believe in God or evolution), unity of science’s essence, science finality, and believe in logic.
