ABSTRACT This paper is of two parts. In the initial part, it attempts to enumerate some issues and reasons why oil producing Persian Gulf Countries should care more not to be trapped and devoured by some giant colossal ever-developing dragon in Asia to avoid becoming sheer slaves rather than independent nations. To name a few, there should be concern over the renovation of the so-called silk road as civilizations have drastically changed historically; troops displacement and much faster access and lower costs; machinery needs fuel and fuel means power; the intimidation of followers of divine religions; a threat towards the traditional peace-loving people of the subcontinent by ‘the fanatic’ communists or else; dragons seem too strong and populous to push back after settling down and clinching onto the area; communist military Godfathers might bully the area as it is the very characteristic of power concentration; and in short colonialism of modern forms should better be avoided, among other things. In the latter part, following a couple of stages of questionnaire development and administration, we came up with some questionnaire which was developed and administered to 94 final participants, mostly university students in petroleum engineering but people of all walks of life. The responses were categorically ranked according to frequency of responses provided by the participants, and gender was not taken either as a control or intervening variable. The upshots seem to support the ideas of the initial part and a conclusion closes this short paper.
