Abstract Abstract: The importance of theinvestigative social networking site: Researchgate services as a means to communicate, sharing of knowledge and experiences among researchers is known. This study aimed to identify expectations of Researchgate, from the perspective of Engineering researchers are members of this network. This study is Survey and descriptive research and the mixed metod was used. The sample consisted of 12 interviews in qualitative and 144 researchers in questionnaire and quantitative research. The results showed that, engineering researchers after Researchgate have highest membership on social networks LinkedIn and GoogleScholar, and on average, each researcher in research social networking sites more than two. In connection with the expectations of Researchgate, the component associated with citation databases and the use of information according to which the frequency of the highest importance for researchers. Knowing the number of Cites is very important for researchers, so they expect RSNS reflect reliable feedback from their scholarly activities. also they expect the most suitable criteria to facilitate and accelerate scientific-scholarly activities. Keywords: Research social networking sites, Academic social networking sites, Researchgate, Engineering Researchers, University of Tehrans Engineering College. چکیده ریسرچ¬گیت به عنوان یکی از مهمترین شبکه¬های اجتماعی پژوهشی شناخته شده در حمایت از فعالیت¬های علمی پژوهشگران نقش بسزایی دارد. قابلیت¬هایی که ریسرچ¬گیت در اختیار پژوهشگران قرار می¬دهد و اهمیت خدمات این شبکه جهت برقراری ارتباط، انجام کارهای علمی تیمی، اشتراک دانش و تجارب و ... در محبوبیت هرچه بیشتر این شبکه در بین پژوهشگران افزوده است. هدف مطالعه حاضر بررسی انتظارات پژوهشگران حوزه مهندسی از ریسرچ¬گیت در راستای حمایت گسترده¬تر از فعالیت¬های علمی پژوهشی انها است. در این پژوهش پیمایشی توصیفی، از روش ترکیبی استفاده شد. نمونه اماری در بخش کیفی و مصاحبه شامل 12 پژوهشگر فعال در ریسرچ¬گیت و در بخش کمی و پرسشنامه شامل 144 پژوهشگر بود. نتایج نشان داد، پژوهشگران حوزه مهندسی بعد از ریسرچ¬گیت بیشترین میزان عضویت را در لینکداین و گوگل¬اسکالر دارند و هر پژوهشگر به طور متوسط در بیش از 2 شبکه اجتماعی پژوهشی فعالیت می¬کند. در ارتباط با انتظارات پژوهشگران از شبکه اجتماعی پژوهشی ریسرچ¬گیت، مولفه «ارتباط با پایگاه¬های استنادی و امکان استفاده از اطلاعات استنادی انها» با بیشترین درصد فراوانی از اهمیت بسیار بالایی برخوردار است. اگاهی از تعداد استنادات دریافتی تالیفات پژوهشی برای پژوهشگران از اهمیت بسیار بالایی برخوردار است، بنابراین پژوهشگران انتظار دارند شبکه¬های اجتماعی پژوهشی بازخورد دقیق و معتبر از فعالیت¬های علمی و پژوهشی انها را منعکس کنند. همچنین انها انتظار دارند این شبکه¬ها بسترهای مناسب¬تری جهت تسهیل و تسریع فعالیت¬های پژوهشی ایجاد نمایند. واژگان کلیدی: شبکه¬های اجتماعی پژوهشی، شبکه¬های اجتماعی علمی، ریسرچ¬گیت، پژوهشگران حوزه مهندسی، پردیس دانشکده¬های فنی دانشگاه تهران
