Abstract :
Conceptual metaphor is one of the key topics in cognitive linguistics, based on understanding one by another conceptual domain. Cognitive semantics is a science that grades the way for discovering and analyzing hadiths inner text relationships. Imams (AS) to express the concept of Intellect, call on their audiences to reflect on the inappreciable affairs through material matters and sensations. This process teaches religious teachings by providing ontology and epistemology similarities between the two domains of origin and destination. The present study aimed to, with the descriptive-analytical method, analyze the conceptual metaphors of Intellect in hadiths. The results indicated that the critical conceptual areas of Intellect in hadiths include light and enlightenment, capital and wealth, needlessness, forgiveness, blessings, beauty and adornment, guidance, power and command, prosperity, healing, friendship, and openness. Combining the visual schemas obtained from the two domains of origin and destination presents a purposeful and enlightening cognitive system in a symbolic and understandable context. It has caused credibility, concentration, and better transmission of teachings.
