Abstract :
Introduction & Objective: The use of a variety of safe methods of resistance training for adolescents who enter a sport is necessary and essential that they do not suffer from injuries due to lack of strength and muscle power. The aim of this study was to compare the effect of resistance training with free weight and Traband on muscle strength and anaerobic power of adolescent volleyball players. Materials and Methods: This quasi-experimental study was a pre-test and post-test design. 35 novice adolescents with (mean age 15.30 64 0.64 years, height 173.40 7 7.68 cm, weight 66.34 /10 10.13 kg and body mass index 21.92 ± 3.07 kg / m2 Were selected by purposive sampling method and randomly divided into two experimental groups. Both experimental groups practiced for eight weeks, three sessions per week and 90 minutes per session. 1RM test (one maximum repetition) and anaerobic power were used to measure muscle strength, sergeant jumping and throwing a medical ball. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and SPSS software version 24. Alpha significance level was considered 0.05. Results: The results showed in There was no significant difference between muscle strength of one maximal repetition and anaerobic power tests between the two experimental groups of Traband and free weight (P 0.05). Conclusion: In general, it can be said that both types of resistance training are effective in increasing muscle strength and anaerobic capacity of adolescent volleyball players and can be used in combination with both types of training.
