Abstract :
In this paper, the influence of electical current injection on the static and dynamic characteristics of quantum dot laser (QDL) is investigated using the complete form of rate equations. Results show that the relaxation oscillation frequency as well as modulation bandwidth of QDL is enhanced by increasing current injection.
