Abstract :
There are nonlinear behaviors in superconductive circuits such as superconducting metamaterial. In this paper, we are going to propose distributed nonlinear equivalent circuit model for superconducting metamaterial filter based on stepped impedance resonator. This model can be used to predict nonlinear behaviors like third-order Inter Modulation Distortion (IMD) and harmonic generation. In our nonlinear model, to have an accurate prediction, we considered both quadratic and modulus nonlinearity dependence on the current. Thereafter, this model analyses nonlinearly using Harmonic Balance (HB) method at different temperatures and different input powers. There are good agreements between nonlinear simulation results and measurement ones. Moreover, based on the proposed model, we consider the effects of nonlinear behaviors on the main parameters in metamaterial structures such as phase constant, attenuation factor, plasma frequency, relative permittivity and permeability. Finally, the results related to variation of these parameters at different temperatures and specific input power are presented in linear and nonlinear regimes.
