Abstract :
The aims of this study were calculation of potential yield and quantitative land suitability evaluation crops in Neshel Village that is located in Amol Township in central Elborz Mountain. The soil mapping was carried out by describing of 35 profiles. Potential yield was calculated by FAO model. The maps of quantitative land suitability classes were prepared by ArcGIS10.1 software. Data gathering was done by survey questionnaire for every crops, such as, total variable costs, gross margins (net farm income) and actual yields. There were high difference between potential and actual yields, due to soil limitations and low management. The results of quantitative land suitability showed that for irrigated wheat 31, 24, 45 of areas were in S2, S3, and N Classes, respectively. For irrigated barley 7, 34, 7, and 52 of areas were S1, S2, S3, and N classes, respectively. For irrigated potatoes 34, 31, and 28 of areas were S2, S3, and N classes, respectively. For irrigated alfalfa 7, 3, 69, and 21 of areas were S1, S2, S3, and N classes, respectively. For irrigated bean, 72, 10, and 18 of areas were S2, S3, and N classes, respectively
